Got laughed at. Apparently when they have a keg they sell out in 2 hours.

I'm not even much of a beer drinker and even I want this beer. Nice job, F&D Board.

BR is beer maven Mecca. It's the thing to do. Even Avenue Pub keeps that stuff tapped for a reasonable amount of time.

If Peche sold Ghost in the Machine, this board would explode.

Yes I was at a Mango Ghost cask tapping last night and didn't recognize a single person there. The crowd was extremely mixed in age and not everyone there looked like your regular beer geek if that makes any sense.
The beer has a ton of hype and a heck of a following in LA.

Neighborhood bars in NOLA have it.

NOLA > BR

BR Mavens > NOLA Mavens

It really is. I called Breaux Mart on Severn, and even they had a list that was capped. I quit calling around after that. The GOAT is really good, but I've got better things to do than chase beer.

If it was easy to obtain it wouldn't be as tasty

This. It's a personal Top 3 DIPA, but I'm not going to plan an entire day on trying to chase down bottles and trying to beat people to a store before it sells out in half a day.

you guys make me laugh. This beer isn't that hard to find. And those mavens that have their hookups get off on the fact that "non mavens" have trouble finding it. I casually checcked 3 stores a feew phone calls and have rounded up about two cases worth.

If you can piece together where to go and who to ask, its pretty available the days it comes out and those affter for the most part.

I now know just about every place you can get it in the Greater New Orleaans Area. I'm debating posting a list of every single location there is to level the playing field of sorts.

Scarcity does also not make anything any better. This beer is good. It's a fantasticc DIPA. BUT its more or less because there are no better options readily available to anyone here. If we had all the options of someone in Chicago, San Diego, or even Boston, Ghost would be a solid DIPA but not the hysteria you see here for it.

Because people in those cities don't go bonkers for beer releases...

Except for people in Chicago are losing their shite for BCBS release on black friday... In Boston its Trillium and Tree House... In San Diego it's Barrel Aged Speedway, Monster's Park, and Societe Brewing.

Beer nerds are going to beer nerd. It happens all over the country.
