Starting a vegetable and fruit only diet September 1. Might allow myself an ounce of unsalted nuts and 2-3 cups of hot green tea. My goal is to do 21 days then slowly introduce lean meats back in my diet. Wanna still cut carbs though and no dairy. I currently weigh 250lb and am 6', 35yo. I wanna try and drop a bunch of weight in the first 3 weeks. Plan on doing 30min cardio every morning as well.
Anyone else done a fruit & veggie only cleanse/diet? What should my expectations be? My buddy told me to expect headaches the first few days. TIA! Also if anyone has any good recipes please share them! Not doing this vegan btw and plan on eating a fair share of beans to keep some protein in my diet.

Substitute the fruits for basic, grilled/baked chicken.

Smothered cabbage
Smothered okra
Corn maqcheux
Tomato and cucumber salad

Don't usually cook or serve fruit as a meal.
You could make some variations of fruit salad

Ok, I got the idea for the fruit/veggie diet from The Dan Patrick show. It just kind of peeked my interest. My long term goals are to eat healthy and maintain a weight of 215 but I wanted to kind of kick start it with a bang. I also am going on a 5 day hike with buddies in late January in northern alabama and want to be in shape.

if you cut out bad carbs and sugars all together, you can still eat meat along with your fruit and veggies. It would be a lot more realistic and sustainable, and you should drop weight pretty fast.
