The gumbo is still the best in town. And it's now next door to Orange Julius!

Old Brewbachers on Sherwood. Across the street from Racetrack.

Damn, wish I'd had known earlier, I'dve gone today. Can't wait to try the gumbo!

I love the place! Gumbo cannot be beaten. The red beans and rice are great. They make a very good burger. And the roast beef poboy is great! The fried fish is also pretty good from what I remember.

Went last night. Gumbo lived up to hype on here, both seafood (what I got) and chicken and sausage (what my wife got ... and it was better).

Po-boy shrimp was good. Bread could have been slightly more crispy on the outside. Only the very edge of the bread was crispy. The outer part of the inside of the bread needs to be toasted a little better.

Other than that, not mad.

There were a couple of large tables when I was there. Hoping business picks up and they expand the menu. Maybe they can get the lunch specials as regular menu items at night eventually. I would have loved to have gotten the red beans and rice last night.
