Nah, that would likely fall under problem drinker if it was limited to the weekend.

Tomato, tomahto. This person tried to quit many times and has several DUIs. If all of that doesn't give you the ammunition you need to quit drinking, you have a serious problem. I call it an addiction, but whatever semantic you choose to use is irrelevant to the issue at hand.
That said, I don't think someone who drinks one or two every night has a problem. I personally don't, but mostly because it interferes with my weight loss.

I love this post of yours.
Hey guys I was trolling the whole time, BUT I'm gonna repeat my message again because it's how I really feel.

how in the hell did I repeat the same thing? I specifically said that it does not make you an alcoholic but depending on why you are drinking could be on the path to being one.
and yes I was trolling and being a complete dick. I personally dont understand why somebody would risk their health drinking 2 cocktails a night but to each their own.
I wasn't joking about most people that do this being fat and unsuccessful. Sure there are outliers but what I said rings true in most cases, at least in my expierence. Granted I am not around lawyers and the likes everyday, but in the world of engineering, construction, petrochem this rings true.
If you don't like that answer oh well.

I still don't understand why somebody with kids would want to drink every night but to each their own

You may have a few valid points sprinkled through this thread but you are obviously being a prick about it, which you acknowledged at least once.
I have a few friends that have a couple of drinks every night, all are successful with some a little overweight and at least a couple of them not at all.
I typically have a few drinks on one of the weekend nights and maybe 1-2 drinks one one weeknight (i.e. two days per week of drinking). I'm guessing that some of those claiming they have 1-2 drinks every night have many days when it climbs to 4-6 drinks.
I also think 'alcoholic' is a term similar to 'racist' in that there are many different degrees of it. If you only drink 1-2 drinks every single day but you 'must' have your two drinks to cope, then you are sort of an alcoholic but can still live a normal life with no significant side effects. These are just random thoughts, I'm no expert on the matter.

Im done with this shite anyways. Its ok for yall to be fat and on the verge of being alcoholics. Its perfectly fine with me so long as you don't take a dime from the government ever for health care. Keep on keeping on.
