I hear there is a Draught rollout tonight going on in Baton Rouge. Suppose to be at TJ Ribs for the coach's show, Walk-ons by LSU after that, and then The Bulldog. Anyone else going to this?

No, but I've had the stuff and it's not bad. It's a solid alternative to BMC, PBR, and similar beers. Very drinkable, but nothing special.

Nah, but I picked up a six pack at Calandro's over the weekend. It's what I expected. They'll make a mint with the beer.

I'm going to go by Tin Roof for the taproom release on Friday, but it's mostly for Jay D's Nashville hot chicken pop-up dinner.

I'll also have a Bayou Bengal or two I'm sure.

Picked up some last night at grocery store.
Not bad taste! I think they went with the appeal for all beer drinkers.

Has this only been in cans for awhile? I've been seeing this shite on the shelves for about 2 weeks now in cans.

I'll be there too.

Bayou Bengal is a well brewed lager. It won't ever be my go to beer, as I prefer a more complex flavor in my beers, but there's no doubt they did a good job brewing what they intended with this one. It should be a gateway beer for the BMC crowd. It drinks easy and there are no off flavors, and I'm not mad drinking one, which is more than I can say about several other of their offerings (Voodoo Bengal and Perfect Tin).

What sort of flavor do you get out of it? I don't trust Tin Roof with beer, so i'm not about to buy a 6 pack to find out it tastes like every thing else they make.

Is it like a german pils, crisp with a little hop bite, or is it more like the boring american lagers.

Classic American lager. You won't like it. That doesn't mean they didn't brew it well though.

You know how Louisiana rums kind of have that unique taste to them? It kind of has that type of taste to me. Maybe I'm imagining it.

My pops says that it tastes like old school Jax.

Solid lager but a little overpriced in my opinion.

They've stepped up a bit, their "Flagship" beer offerings are pretty weak but seasonals and what they've put out recently has been worth a taste.
