I'm sitting at Garage Beer Co right now just a couple blocks away. Looks too fancy for me.

Piscolabis (Las Ramblas)
Cerveceria Catalana (just off Las Ramblas on Mallorca)...crowded pretty much all day so be prepared to wait
Cellarer(on Mallorca) is a good wine bar with really good food, the two Argentinian guys who own it are fantastic humans
Literally ANYTHING at La Boqueria

My wife and I also ate at La Boca Grande(place would fit in well in South Beach), Ciudad Condal (incredibly overrated), Milk Bar(good, but by the time my wife and I got around to making it here it was day 5 and we were a little over tapas menus), Quimet & Quimet (great place but standing room only and wasn't really near anything we did, took a special trip here), Barceloneta (I'll probably get shite on, but this was one of my favorite meals in Barcelona, the fideo negro was incredible).

Don't know where you are staying, but if you're still looking for a hotel-I can't recommend the Corner Hotel enough, great rooms, great staff, good bar & bites.

Don't know how long you're going to be in Barcelona, but I'd take a trip out to cava country for a vineyard tour or Montserrat (Himmler searched for the Holy Grail here).

Short drive from Barcelona-we hired a driver and hit Cava Llopart...the scenery was incredible (their vineyard overlooks the town of Sant Sadurni d'Anoia, Montserrat, and on clear day-you can see the Pyrenees mountains).

Ate at Tickets a few years ago when I was in Barca. We just let the server and chef choose the items on our tasting. I cant remember how many "tastings" it was scheduled to be but seems like we ate 20... The liquid olives were the main thing that stuck in my mind. Fantastic. Plus good booze....
