Will do the same Saturday for lunch. Looks like the same building Cotton's and Lola Blues used to be in. Hopefully they made significant building improvements--that place was a dump.

Glad to see something new opening up in StF. Spent a weekend in the area during the summer and was sort of shocked at how few eating options existed. Seems like it was a livelier place, food wise, 15 years ago.

Structurally, yes. Doors, all windows on the front, all wood appears to be the same. Looks like they re-stained/refinished everything and replaced the awning.

Edit: before pic

what are some of the other food options up in St. Francisville?

Years ago a friend rented a house right in town that was set up well for a romantic weekend getaway - indoor hot tub, etc. We all went up on Friday evening, met at that house, went and dined at the Myrtles then he and his lady friend stayed the weekend while we all came home.

I've never been able to locate any website for that weekend rental and he can't recall how he found out about it or got set up with it. If anyone has any idea what I'm talking about, I'd love to take SO up their for a weekend getaway.

Not much as far as good options...couple of new places have opened recently, including the Francis. The other is a Lebanese restaurant. Then you have Sonnys pizza, the magnolia cafe, the bluffs restaurant. That's about all.

Not sure of what rental you are talking about.

So they were out of just about everything this evening. Apparently they didn't expect such a crowd the first few days. Got the steak sammich with fries. Pretty good. Fries are on point. Glad to have new option in St. Francisville. Can't wait to try more of their offerings.

If I've said it once, I've said it a million times.
If you have a nice little place like this, by all means PLEASE have hand cut fries.

That sandwich looks good.
What kind of beers are on tap?
