What's you're favorite method of preparation?

Smoked for the Otis' Clan.

I usually like to hit for the cycle between Thanksgiving and Christmas- Smoked, fried and oven roasted, but if I had to choose 1, it would probably be fried. The skin is the best on fried and roasted

Old farts like roasted and I like roasted = old fart .

I would happily eat fried and we will smoke one sometime soon so maybe I just act like an old fart.

I don't really like turkey. Maybe I've just never had good turkey, but it always seems kind of bland and dry.

Although it's delicious, I don't like the white meat nearly as much as the dark meat, especially on a fried bird. Give me the legs, thighs, and neck and I will be happy happy happy.

I like roasted, but not the whole bird...just a bone-in breast.

Best whole bird method I ever tasted was cooked in one of those old-school Nesco electric roasting ovens--it's a pretty moist, closed environment, so dark & white meat were both juicy. Nesco oven: LINK

That oil-less fryer cooks a fire arse turkey. Those things are like $75 and cooks just as good as a fry setup with about $1k worth of peanut oil.

I'll do this sometimes too. Drape some bacon over the breasts. Without the whole carcass you can focus on getting the perfect internal temp.

I love turkey. I really dont know why i dont cook it year round. Its cheap as hell when its not holiday season, and even then turkey is very cheap.

Fried, smoked, baked.

I have only had smoked turkey a couple of times. Definitely going to smoke one this year.

If cooking it for my Mom (upper 80's), it's gonna have to be baked.

My wife prefers fried.

My son prefers smoked.

Cooking turkey for my clan =

I like it all, w/ baked being my least favorite. Fried and smoked have very different flavor profiles and I like them both. I will say that a smoked turkey, done right, will be moister than even the fried.

I didn't answer your question, at all.
