Thanks F&DB for the scotch recommends

Few months ago I came here asking about scotch since I was just starting out. Quite a few names came out but two that seemed to keep coming were the Laphroaig and the Balvenie Doublewood.

The Doublewood was extremely smooth. Almost bourbony but didn't lose its scotch taste. I def agree with everyone who said to always have one on hand.

The Laphroaig 10yr.....wow. At first taste I thought I'd have the bottle for a long time being the smokiness/peatness was so strong but the after taste and aroma seemed to give a bit of oak off. After finishing my first glass, the next day I was craving it again. One week in and I'm more than hallway done the bottle. It is a damn good scotch.

So I've seemed to make the Glenlevit and Fidich my everyday scotch but Doublewood and Laphroaig are always close by. Thanks fellas (you know who you are) for the great suggestions.

On another note, I also got for Christmas a Macallen 15yr. Very smooth. Vanilla/small smoke/smooth. I honestly prefer both the Doublewood and Lophraig to it. Good scotch but for the price you can't beat the Laphroiag

One question....I saw on Laphroig website they have a Triplewood. Has anyone tasted this. Seems to be geared like the Balvenie Doublewood for taste. Would love the Balvenie Doublewood to have the peat of the Laphroaig.
