Not much response on F&DB, so Houston folks help me out.

I've got a class at Beltway 8 and I-45 next week. What is the best Thai food on the north side of Houston? Class is over at 5PM, so I have lots of time in the evening. A drive doesn't bother me.

New Malaysian restaurant owned by a friend of my family's. It's on 1960 I believe (or just north of 1960). I haven't been so I can't tell you how to get there, but my folks love it.

Wonderful place on Westheimer called Thai Cottage. Probably far from your class though.

Asia market in the heights is some of the best Thai food I've had in houston.

Exit cavalcade and head west if coming down 45 from beltway 8. It will be on your right. Little Asian grocery store with Thai restaurant built in.

If you hit main st you've gone too far.

Afterwords head over to d&t drive in for a great craft beer selection. It will be on your right as you drive back to 45 from Asia market.

Love Nit Noi! Have you tried Banana Leaf on Bellaire or Bissonnet? It's style.

I really like Thai Lanna but it isn't near the beltway. It's 610 290 area. Place looks shady but is freakin delicious.

Thai cottage at Richmond and Westheimer. It'll be a drive for you, but well worth it. Map it and see how long.

ETA: Apparently there are a few of them. Go to the closest one

Vieng Thai close to i10 and 610. Best Thai food I've had in Houston. If you've ever been to Thailand, Thai cottage is just okay.
