Texas de Brazil -- How is it?

A long while back we got a $125 gift certificate to go there. We were supposed to go in a large group so we kept putting off going. Well, it's my B-day weekend and I don't want to go to NOLA, so we are going to use the gift certificate and go tonight.
I have never been to a Brazilian steakhouse like this.
What to get, what to avoid. How is it?

yeah that was the plan. It was five couples that got the certificates and we could never get any to meet up since none of us live in BR.
This isn't a great weekend for going out in NOLA, and we figured we could shop a little at the mall and the outlets on the way back.

Its amazing. Try every meat that comes to your table. The salad bar is massive and good, but don't over do yourself there because you will get too full. Their bisque is always good. Enjoy yourself. Its a great experience.

Sodium laden mid level cuisine

The salad bar is really good, the meat is salty. Choose your cuts carefully to not fill on up junk meat.

Remember, you can request the cut or type of meat you want.....as often as you want. So don't fill up on the cheap cuts. Bisque is great but also very filling. Take your time and plan to be there 2+ hours to give everything a shot.

I'm a red meat guy so I sit out the chicken and sausage. It's not that good anyway. I'll take the sirloin and filet rolling all night.
ETA: It's fun with a large group.

Put the shrimp in the bisque

Try the skirt steak first, you may not want anything else. Stay away from chicken, pork, sausage. Signature sirloin is good, and filet okay. I don't like lamb.

Believe it or not, the top sirloin is the best cut there

The smoked salmon and spicy shrimp on the salad bar are excellent. Favorite meats are lamb chops with mint jelly, flank steak and house sirloin. The leg of lamb is a little too wild tasting for me.

Recruits seem to like it.

It's really good. Enjoy
Take your time and eat the salad bar.

As crazy as it sounds the flank steak was my favorite. They can keep the lamb and sausages.

Make sure to get some chimichurri... Stick to the red meat and bisque
