My favorite was always Little Saigon, I preferred it to Dang's and Sa Dec Kitchen. The pho is at Sa Dec Kitchen is great, but they are pretty lacking in the cleanliness department.

Has anyone tried it at drunkenfish near campus? I'm assuming it's still open.

I'm a fan of the pho from Viet Garden. Dang's is dirty and the service sucks. If I want something else besides pho I go to Little Saigon.

What's the name of the place in the Sherwood Square shopping center? That place is really good and nice inside. It was Little Saigon, but it changed the name. And adding to the confusion, right around the time it changed its name, a place called Saigon Noodles opened up on Sherwood Forest, on the other side of Florida Boulevard. That place is OK, not as good as Dang.

Little Saigon was where Saigon Noodles is located now. They moved across Florida and are still there.

Himalaya's is still open, although sadly, the only car I ever see parked in front of the place is the owners white vehicle. They actually deserve better.

The pho shop near it that used to be A Taste of Asia is now Dream Berrie Cafe, and they have a decent bowl of pho but a small menu. I would recommend Dangs for the entire experience. You may find yourself being the only non-Asian in there. Bring a friend along who can give you suggestions as to how to doctor up your pho. You're going to get a side plate with a whole bunch of strange stuff on it, plus you'll have the condiments on the table to add as well.

Baton Rouge is probably better represented by Vietnamese cuisine more than any other ethnic cuisine.

Tried Dangs tonight. Overall the meal was good. The bo bun hue was a disappointment. The broth was bland as was the pigs foot. GF had the grilled pork with egg roll. This was the clear winner. We tried the pho with brisket, tendon, tripe and meatball. Very solid. Not outstanding. The grilled pork spring rolls were average but had very little pork.

Pho was good. But not good enough to overcome the dingy atmosphere and single waitress. I'm going back to Saigon Noodles. I did get some kimchi at the Vietnamese market.
