TD F&D Board Recipe Collection Upcoming 8th Edition Notice
Posted on 10/26/16 at 10:53 am

November is right around the corner and I will be updating our cookbook then. So if anyone has a recipe they want to be include in the new collection, be sure to post the recipe soon. I think it's better if you start a new thread for your recipe, then we can add it to the recipe thread after.
Currently we have 39 new recipes to add to the collection of 463 recipes.

And once again you'll take all the credit with no reference to the people who made it happen years ago.

I just wanted to put a reminder out there because last year a couple of recipes got left out because they were too late.

Thanks for ripping off the hours of work I put in over 8 years ago.

I invented the Jambalaya Calculator.
I let him take credit for it. I don't care.

Good grief!! He took no credit. He simply posted that he was going to update soon and asked people to post recipes they'd like to add. That's it!
Each time he updates, does he need to thank the originators of the thread and book to make you happy?
Did you jump on Wink when she was trying to keep it updated after it sat around for a good while with no updates?
I tell ya what. You give us all the names of those who worked on it and when and we'll get Rat to add to the original post of each updated recipe book thread thanking you and anyone else who touched it. Will that make you happy? If not, exactly what will make you happy and give you the credit you believe is due with each and every update?

Here's one of your previous posts whining about not getting credit.

Scroll down the page. You called out Wink in this one. Also, you will AGAIN notice, you started it under some other user name and then you disappeared and there were no updates for a long time. We were glad someone else took it on.
And, by the way, I thanked you in that thread, but I ain't gonna go back and thank you every single damn time the book is updated. Your work was done. You've been thanked. Someone else is doing it, now. It has been updated, is in several forms for all and a lot more work has been put into since your left it hanging. Thanks for starting the idea. That's it.

This "I need credit repeatedly" business is just downright silly.
If I were FP and I felt the need to post, I would have posted something like this.

Rat, thanks for keeping up what I started and improving it so much. I appreciate it and I'm sure the board does, also. I feel badly that I didn't keep it up but I had to go on hiatus (for whatever reason) and I apologize for leaving it hanging for so long. Glad Wink picked it up and you took over. It's a great resource.

Should have been dead the other time the whining took place.
Please everyone...thank FP. He did a good thing starting the recipe book and I mean that sincerely. If you haven't thanked him previously, thank him now, so we can all move on. I thanked him several years ago.

FalseProphet, I had no idea who started this recipe collection. That truly was a great idea and I will acknowledge your and Wink's contributions in the next edition.
That being said, now that I have it in my recipe software, it really isn't a huge burden to update it.
And Gris Gris, thanks for linking back to that thread. I added 16 previously unincluded recipes and found others where the posters were not listed. I updated those, too.
