I need a new gas grill. Probably don't want to spend more than $300 or so. What's the best bang for the buck around these days?

Any Onward Manufacturing brand. You can find Broil King at Lowes. Not sure on Huntington these days. I'd have one now, but I stumbled upon a used once Weber for half price at Lowes when I went in to buy a broil King

Google it. You'll find articles comparing them favorably with Weber at a lower price. Anything else at a big box is going to be shite.

I'd recommend the Chargriller brand. You can get the 3 burner gas grill for under $175 at most big box stores.

Lowes for $169

Pay the extra $100 for a weber spirit

Otherwise get a $100 charbroil. It will last 5 years

Go with the Weber q2200 or 3200. If you get the 2200 there are stands available for it, or you take it off the stand and bring it tailgating and whatnot. Great grill.

This. I got mine for $399 and it's been a kick arse grill.

You get what you pay for.

If it'll last me 5 or so years I'll consider I got my money worth. My old one was a kenmkre from Sears. It did pretty good but the gas lines finally went out in it. I still will use the ole faithful weber kettle, but I really like have a gas grill for weeknight grilling. Just makes it so easy

Made in USA

This is a handy unit for $100. Easy to move, has an upper shelf and made here.

I had a Walmart special for years. It was about $170. I was about to buy another one, but the board talked me into a weber Genesis. I am VERY glad I listened. It's worth the extra money. I got the cast iron grill top instead of the steel and am VERY happy. Spend the extra money.

Look on Craigslist. Get a slightly used one.

Maybe if you keep that thing inside and shrink-wrapped.

Gas grills are definitely one of those items where quality is proportional to price.

I concur with the pro-Weber crowd. It's not just how long it lasts, it's how well it cooks - temp control, scene as of cooking, etc... Webers excel at that and they last a long, long time. Should you ever need customer support, they are there for you.

I think I'm going to pick one of those up. I have 3 grills all charcoal, I need something that my wife can light and grill on with out having to use charcoal.

I had a Weber Q (their smallest one I believe) and it was great. The square footage wasn't the biggest, but still plenty big enough to cook for 3 or 4 people at a time with no problem. Ours was abused to be honest, but it never gave us even a hiccup's worth of trouble. Bought a used DCS grill at auction this year super cheap or I never would have gotten rid of it.

If you don't want to go used (personally I'd buy a used Weber Spirit or a used high-end-ish grill) I would buy a Weber Q that fit in your price range and never look back.
