I have 5 pounds of shrimp to boil tonight on the stove. anyone have a good recipe for this? how long to boil? how long to let sit?

Bring very spicy water to a boil. Drop in your shrimp and stir occasionally until the shrimp start to turn pink and roll in the almost boiling water. Cut off the heat and let them sit for 2 minutes and then dump in some ice and soak for 10-12 minutes before checking one-if it needs more tie let it soak. They should be fully cooked but not over so the shells don't stick.

You'll want to make sure your water is at a full high rolling boil before adding the shrimp. The faster you can get it back to a boil, the better your shrimp would be.

May throw some corn and potatoes before hand. Probably a 2 gallon pot

Potatoes need pre cooking, corn can go in at the time of the soak

They came out great and easy to peel! Could have had a little more spice. But my stomach is thanking me that they weren't.
Thanks guys.
