I'm making a bourbon pecan pie and it calls for dark corn syrup. Since I don't have any, will I be ok using Steen's or will it mess up the flavor? Thanks in advance

If you can get to a grocery store, there will be some open early enough, the flavor of the sulphorous components in Cane may break the deal.

If you look on the back of the Steens bottle, it has a recipe for pecan pie. That is the recipe I use. Use it in place of your dark corn syrup and you will be fine. It is a much better flavor.

Corn syrup based pecan pies are terrible. Use a steens recipe and you'll do yourself a big favor.
