Steakhouses in Houston

I'm traveling to Houston soon and looking for recommendations on where to get a good steak. STQ doesn't have available reservations while I am there, so that is out. I currently have reservations at Steak 48, but have read many mixed reviews on it.

Papas? Is this still the steak house in Houston?

Went to IIIForks when I was in town for the LSU baseball games and enjoyed it quite a bit. Granted, I had been drinking tall boys at the game so anything would have been great

Del Frisco's at the Galleria is fantastic.

I'll second One Fifth if they have any reservations. Blew Steak 48 and B&B out of the water. Sides at STQ were out of bounds.

One-Fifth is definitely a great option. If you have a decent sized group, get the Baller Board. Well worth it in my experience.
For a classic steakhouse, Pappas Bros. has been the best in my Houston experiences.
Those would be my 2 choices, depending on what I was feeling.

Have not been but have never heard a negative about it.
My favorite that I actually went to was Vic and Anthonys

Screw Steak 48
V&A or Pappas for old school steakhouse feel and great steaks and wine
OneFifth for cast iron steaks, modern sides, and more laid back
Ritual for casual, but still top notch steaks
B&B if you want legit Kobe beef
Pax Americana for the wagyu ribeye for two. It's not a steakhouse, but it's one of the best steaks in Houston.

I was gonna inb4 your arse on this one.
All good suggestions and I'll throw out my go to rec for Brennar's on the Bayou. Cool atmosphere and still one of my favorite steaks in the city.

One day someone will actually pay attention to my rec on this one and have a life changing meatgasm.

Did you secure a reservation to their private bathroom?
