good arse question. Last I saw (2-3 weeks ago) there was still a dumpster out front, but looked like no progress.

That place has been around since the early 80's. we would eat there when we lived off Tams.

I actually contacted an agent about purchasing the property for another BBQ shop, they said they are definitely reopening. This was a few weeks ago.

I hope they do reopen. The lady that told me they weren't reopening was a waitress there when it flooded. She works at a little place in Denham now and told me that the other morning at breakfast when another table brought up Sonny's about them not reopening. Sounds like they must of just not wanted her back

AYCE dry-rub ribs with 2 sides and Texas toast for $13.99 is tough to beat.
I also like their old-school salad bar -- very few like that around anymore.

The last post they made on facebook last month said they plan to but it will be another 3 to 4 months. They were planning a remodel before the flood. Hopefully, they remodel the bathrooms...they were pretty bad. I miss their food though.
