What's worse is CAD lives in Nashville and likes to home bias threads. Why would you even want to eat KFC when you have access to Nashville Chicken?

The hyperbole is strong with this one.

You dog KFC and suggest Church's instead? GTFO. Based solely off the chicken, KFC is way ahead of Church's. Biscuits and sides go to Church's though.

I'd like the recipe for the crust on KFC's chicken pot pie. It's so good. The filling is okay, but the crust is delicious.

Not defending KFC, but sometimes I pass on hot chicken because I don't want my butthole burning the next day.

Y u like soggy skin?

I like some crunch on mine, so I'll do church's if I can't find a Popeye's. I don't do KFC, even under the gravest circumstances

That's one reason why I never liked it years ago. No crunch. I also found it to be greasy, though I haven't had any in years.

Ate KFC last week for the first time in probably 10 years. It was terrible.

Do you even extra crispy? Never had soggy skin at KFC.

Your loss. KFC is better than Church's in my experience.

Now when the recipe for Gus's leaks, let me know.

OK, I'm in the "LOVE KFC Original Recipe" camp. I don't think there were any Kentucky Fried Chickens in Louisiana at the time Colonel Sanders sold the company for $2 million. Very soon after that the company started changing the recipe. So, I'm not sure I ever had the true original recipe.

What I can tell you is that I bought 2 special pressure fryers (at garage sales) so I could try to duplicate it.

I have, in fact, replicated what I've gotten at modern KFC restaurants. But you don't need any spices at all. Today it's just black pepper, salt and MSG. They add miniscule amounts of other spices in there just so they can list them in advertising.

It comes out crispy, but if you let it sit covered, like when you're cooking the next batch, it becomes just like the steamy texture you get at the restaurant.

I have purchased the "99X Chicken Spice Blend" from Marion Kay spices which is alleged to be very, very close to Sanders' original recipe. In fact, legend has it that Sanders himself declared it to be "99% the same", hence the name. See this KFC forum for more info than you ever wanted to know about the KFC cult. (Note - sometimes the link won't work.)

Cause the main prob with KFC is freshness, locations suck, and service is terrible

If I could mimic the recipe at home, would love it

Some of us remember a time where KFC was available when Popeyes wasn't

You may not approve but I'd pay 13 bucks to get the spice mix on Danny's fried chicken too
