I can't use a promo code and a gift card on Cajungrocers website. I can't get my order to go through because of some glitch. This may be my last order with them.

I mostly order smoked sausage from them to use in my gumbo, jambalaya and red beans because they have no good sausage as an option in Missouri.

Has anyone used Nolacajun.com or another mail order site for sausage?I see Best Stop ships so I'll probably use them next time. Anyone ever get Poches to ship?

I'm from Lafayette, so any suggestions from east of Baton Rouge? I've noticed a place in Laplace mentioned before.

TIA

Is their sausage thin like Conecuh? Looks like it needs some girth and what the hell is ponce?

No idea what conecuh is but it's averaged sized sausage. Ville platte is the smoked meat capital, it's really hard to go wrong with getting you're sausage from there.

A ponce is a stuffed pig stomach, phenomenal.

Thanks guys. Conecuh is made in Alabama but is sold in some places in LA and is pretty good if you can get over where it comes from.

I like Conecuh on the grill, but I only eat it when I'm back in LA.

Do you use Conecuh in gumbo?

BengalBen, no offense, but you're from Laffy, and don't know what ponce is?

Conecuh is good. I used it in gumbo, red beans, jambalaya - everything. They have it in spicy too, and I will use it instead of andoullie if I am wanting something with flavor, but not something too spicy for the kids.

There is better back home, no doubt, but for Alabama, it will do.
