Dinner last night was uncomplicated and delicious. I was going to grill slider burgers but after cutting grass in the yard and hot enough earlier in the day I opted to just cook 'em on the stove top. These were easy and cooked pretty fast. made over fifty smashed slider burgers. No, we didn't eat all of them but they make great quick snacks or lunch.
Diced up a couple of onions and cooked those down a bit.
I grabbed a couple of packs of King's Hawaiian sweet rolls for buns. Soft tender and delicious for sliders this small.
Had potato salad as a side. Mmmmmm...........

What's the technique for smashburgers? I've heard this term used but still a little unclear on what exactly it is.
Looks great though.

Pretty easy, basically make a meatball, place it on a hot griddle on in a pan and smash it down with a spatula. It thins the meat down to the thickness you want and allows for the meat to sear and it usually cooks quicker that conventional burgers. I keep the ball of meat somewhat loose to keep the burger from becoming dense and harder to smash.
