Finally went there for lunch today. Bahn mi had all the traditional ingredients. 2 major differences was they use ground pork and the bread was extremely soft and flakey.

It was extremely juicy and only $5.99.

Great hidden gem. Their pho is solid as well.

It looks tasty. I assume this is a favorable review, though you weren't clear on that. I hope so. If not, are the owners going to come here and hashtag people to death?

Where is Singleton's?

the owners are Dolphins' fans. Other than that I have nothing bad to say.

Not sure I want my bahn mi on french, but I'll still give it a try. Are they only doing Viet on Fri-Sun? I know it used to be some kind of odd schedule.

Viet is everyday. I think the pho is only a weekend thing.

Not sure about this, though. I want that crunchy outside/soft inside bread.

I like Singleton's. The owner is a crazy, funny son of a bitch. He is an eccentric Dolphins fan. Their pho and other viet dishes are always solid. If you're a local to the neighborhood, they do an "Uptown Thursday." Basically he clears out the fridge and cooks for all the neighbors.

Looks like the Bahn Mi from the Eatwell Foodmart on the corner of Canal/Broad. Used to hit that up every Saturday when I worked down there.

The banh mi looks alright. I prefer mine with pickled daikons and a french baguette.
