Highland Road is not the problem. Ruffino's does incredibly well.
So does Maxwell's Market.
Putting out a shitty product is the issue.
That'd be a great spot for a la Madeleine. I wish a Zea or J Alexander's would come to that side of town.

Yesterday my mom ate at some Italian restaurant called La Contea on Jefferson Hwy and she said the owners told her they are opening an Italian restaurant in the Shucks location.

J Alexander's
Had heard that something similar to J Alexander's (concept wise) may be making its way into (or at one time) Rouse's shopping center on Airline at Antioch.
Highland Marketplace is getting Adrian's (Juban's owner).

No doubt.
Haven't thought of them in a while, need to make a visit.

damn, businesses sure don't last long in that location
2 horrible restaurants will do that no matter the location

You still have it out for Le Creole after all these years? Do you feel Ryan André is a "horrible" chef since that was his food?
Posted on 8/19/17 at 7:15 am to Shingo
I agree the location is not the problem....just 2 resturants in the past that had bad service and terrible food....

You also feel that Chef Ryan put out terrible food. Did you ever eat there? What was so bad?

That would awesome if it happens. Wish something other than the lame arse 5 Guys & Zaxby's would be in there. I will never again eat at either of those places.

When will it open? Looking forward to trying it. Haven't been to BRQ yet. Parking lot always looks slammed. A few people I know that ate there, did not give it good reviews.

You seem butt hurt, Ryan. Try cooking better tasting food and/or working at a restaurant that has even marginally decent service.

La Contea
Have eaten here once and it was really good. Just hidden and kind of out of the way for me.

Whoa, really? Good for them!

Shucks is terrible. Way overpriced for that mediocre crap.

Not sure if that's the smartest business move....

I'm not Ryan, I just liked his restaurant the few times I went. Where do you work Shawn?
