Yay?

I have some friends in Houston that love this place. I've been once but can't really remember anything about it.

Standard Tex-Mex or better?

It's above average Tex Mex IMO. They have a good menu and lots to choose from. Salsa is really good. Chips are really good. Jalapeno ranch dipping sauce for the chips is amazing.

I'd say it's a notch above standard.

With the amount of TexMex places around here (Houston area), Chuy's is below average. There is much better for cheaper. However, in other places I could see it being above average compared to the competition.

Quality is different from location to location. Judge it for what it is when it opens up.

I like the Chuy's in the Summit in Birmingham. Maybe a little pricey for what it is. Great environment.

In houston it is mediocre. In shreveport it will be up there with Superior or Cantina Laredo, but with a different atmostphere than those.

It will probably be considered good in Shreveport. The Chuy's on 290 in Cypress closed and became a Mamacita's. There are too many good mexican restaurants here for one that charges more for less to survive.

it's certainly better than Uncle Julios or some of the other chain tex-mex places. They have an all you can eat nacho bar and

motherfricking this

Youree Drive - I wonder where they are going to squeeze Chuy's in?

The old Ruby Tuesday building is still vacant...

Really good Tex-Mex for Shreveport & any other place not located in Texas.

I went to one in Austin in the early 90s and I thought it was the tits. Ate at an Austin location last year, it was still pretty good.

Been to one in Houston - nothing memorable. I'm all for Shreveport getting another TexMex place, not sure how I feel about a chain coming in though. I'll stick with El Compadre and Tacomania for my fix.

Apparently it's taking the place of Macaroni Grill, which from what I read is still open.

It's good, kinda pricey for what it is. Plenty of better places in Houston but Ithey would prob be better than most other options in Shreveport. Would love to have one in NOLA. Chuy gooey I think it's called is awesome

There's no way you're a Louisiana resident. It's a nice upgrade over any Tex-mex joint we have right now.
