I need a casual place for lunch.. but i want damn good food.
Say you had a friend in from out of town... out of state. Where is the one place that you HAD to take him before he left?

You can do MUCH better than Strawns.
If you like Asian I would go to Ming Garden. Not a buffet. Great lunches for 8 bucks.
If you prefer Italian I'd recommend Monjuni's. Great lunches for 10.

Yeah so Strawns was very disappointing. This place has never seen a can of Tony's or Slap ya Mama.
Hash brown FAIL. But i did have Louie's super hash browns earlier this week. Still though ... awful.
Burger was meh. Bacon was delicious.
Awful recommendation. I feel sorry for your friends.
Monjuni's is laughable... at least the ones in BR were. It amazes me that they have so many up here.

Strawn's is overrated because it's old. If you want "home cooking" next time you're here, go to Southfield Grill. I personally like Ichiban, Yeero Yeero, or my personal new favorite, Stir Tapas for a good lunch. Their fried eggplant and goat cheese stuffed meatball is
