Shiner Prickly Pear
Posted by snake2985 on 8/5/13 at 10:03 am13
So I know I am a little late to the game, but I picked up a 6 pack of Shiner Family Reunion and one of the beers I really enjoyed was the Prickly Pear. After a bit of research I see it was brewed only last year and is only available in the Reunion 6 packs. The question I have, does anyone know if there is a way to get a decent supply of this particular beer, or can someone recommend something that may be similar that I can enjoy whenever I want. Thanks for the help.

I was going to make a comment about maybe googling it....but now I'm a-scared, I couldn't bare to be yaled at, so I googled for you. It's seasonal and only available in the family reunion 6 packs and 12 packs.

I do think it's hilarious how much things got out of hand. But I do still want someone to tell me where I can find an equivalent (bear) BEER

Prickly Pear is not the same as a pear. The Prickly pear cactus puts on a sort of fruit which is edible. Mexicans eat it all the time. You can also eat the cactus itself.
I have a Prickly Pear growing on the side of my house and I've thought about brewing a bear with fruit.
