Does anybody remember the cookie kiosk things in grocery stores where it had a huge variety of cookies (chocolate chip, maple cream, the windmill, etc) and you would use the tongs and help yourself to the ones you wanted?

It was similar to those Brach's candy stands. It would have a coin holder to take coins if you wanted a single cookie while you shopped.

If anybody remembers what I'm talking about, I have 2 questions:

1) who made those cookies? Was it Voortman, Mothers, or Archway, or somebody else?

2) are there any left in BR/Nola/Laffy/Houston or anywhere in between?

No, these weren't in store made cookies, they were a brand of some sort.

They used to be at every grocery store here in Austin, then I could only find it at one. That was only 3 years ago.
