Seeking a beef stroganoff recipe

Looking for a old fashion creamy, mushroom, egg noodle, homemade recipe. TIA

I sautée onions and mushrooms in butter, slice steak thin and season with salt and pepper, add steak and slosh it all around til it's medium rare, add a glob of sour cream and stir to incorporate. Season to taste; serve over egg noodles. Simple and delicious

Been cooking this one for 20 years, passed down from my mom. Easy with few ingredients.
2 lbs stew meat cut up seasoned to your preference. I use garlic powder and slap your mama
One large onion
2 tbs minced garlic
8-10 oz sour cream
2 cans sliced mushrooms
Extra wide Egg noodles
Brown onions and meat till done. Add minced garlic, cream of mushroom soup, mushrooms drained from can, cook till warm on med to low. Just before serving stir in sour cream. Serve over egg noodles

Thanks, I normally go to serious eats for a dependable recipe but theirs is not traditional.

Do the one in the Silver Palet cook book. It's really good. Uses cream fresh , and I buy beef tenderloin tips I get at my meat market fairly cheap.

all of these sound really good. if only my family would eat mushrooms.
