That's the thing....I don't think I know haha. Actually just acquired a taste for it during an all inclusive sandals trip in st Lucia. Everything was free so I told the bartender to fix me up. They had dewars and Johnny there. There was something about the taste that I liked but I don't know what it is. So since I been home I've been buying Glenlevit. I enjoy it but wondering if there is something else I would like more. I have bought a bottle of Johnny black as well but prefer the Glenlevit better. Maybe it's the single malt I like. So what I was trying to accomplish here was some other not so expensive brands to try.

usually Sazerac because I can make the namesake drink or an old fashioned and it still works. also been using the Jim Beam rye recently which I think is pretty decent for the price.

Man, if you really want to, we can do a tasting to try and get an idea for what you really like.
So much variety out there

This thread is becoming a total success! I actually was looking for something that may be happening in New Orleans trying to accomplish that but didn't see anything scheduled. That would be really cool.

Shoot me an email and we'll discuss it. Maybe we can do an OT scotch tasting for interested parties.

We should plan an OTGT scotch tasting

I am completly for this! Here is my scotch tasting.

As I am not an OT baller, I had anyone that wanted to come bring a bottle as an entry fee (50/bottle) and I Martins keep a list of the scotches that were purchased for my tasting.

Very fun and If there is going to be another, please let me know!

Personally don't like the whiskey stones. Doesn't seem to get cold enough and I find the water from the ice opens the scotch up.

Something about the energy from solid to liquid, latent heat and all that.

That looks awesome. I bought my best friend a map of Scotland, but I need to get my own.
I've already set to work acquiring the scotch. Plenty of variety and I'm always looking for interesting things.

We just need a way to ensure it isn't a complete sausage fest, lol.
Maybe get some LLotOT to waitress and pour.
