Going to San Antonio for the first time in a couple of weeks, what are the must-try spots?

Open to all types of restaurants. Looking to hit whatever is good.

Paesano's.
Get the shrimp Paesano for an appetizer, then beef tenderloin as your main course.

I'll take the other side and admit that I am not a fan of Chris Madrids. It's a "meh" burger at best.

Dough, Boudros, Bohannan's, Paesano's and Chama Gaucha Brazilian Steakhouse were all included in my SA rotation and I used to travel there quite a bit.

Dough- Gourmet Pizza-Diners, Drive-In & Dives Famous
Paesano's- Shrimp Paesano is killer
Rosario's- Good Mexican food
The Orginal Donut Shop- 3347 Fredricksburg Rd-- Best Dam Breakfast Tacos in all of San Antonio and they are very cheap!

Grill at Leon Springs- Best Food in all of San Antonio. They used to have a 5 star place downtown. Coach Pop bought the Original Macaronni Grill building and convinced them to move out to Leon Springs. Well worth the drive and beautiful scenery out that way1

About 7-8 years ago, the wife and I ate at the restaurant that spins at the top of the needle near the Riverwalk. We enjoyed it thoroughly.

Fried quail appetizer was awesome, and enjoyed the steaks.

Go to the Hotel Emma bar to get a pre or post-meal drink if you go to either of these. Just opened in the old Pearl Brewery main building.
