Pizza and calzone were very good. Hand stretched and coal oven baked left a good, thin crust that had a nice "bite," without being overcooked.

I had a "personal" pepperoni and mushroom calzone (bigger than a "regular" at Mellow Mushroom)

Wife and son split a "small" pepperoni (bigger than any "medium" I have ever had)

Daughter had a personal "white" (garlic, extra mozzarella and olive oil) with spinach and artichoke hearts.

Base pizza is fairly inexpensive, but toppings can be pricey.

Service was also good and friendly.

It was cold as frick in there. They really need to dial back the AC.

I used to be a fixture at the one Vegas when I lived there. They had a nice outdoor bar area, and the bartenders were very cool.

Is this the place with the outside bar?

I'm a fan of the one in the Woodlands. To be honest though, knowing there is a location in a Baton Rouge mall has made it lose a bit of luster in my eyes.

The original is great. I walked across the Brooklyn bridge from Manhattan to go there.

I'm just happy to see another restaurant review on the food board rather than some "look at me" claiming they cooked a bistro, five-star meal in their kitchen in 34 minutes after getting home from work at 6:09PM on a Tuesday night .. Thanks ..

I did the same on a Sunday. Well worth the wait to enjoy the pizza with the Manhattan view at Brooklyn Bridge Park.

I pretty much agree with everything you said. I found it to be good pizza but it got pricey quick. I would eat it again but it's not a place I usually think about going to.

I've eaten at the one in Sugar Land.

It's worlds better than Johnny's, but not better than Deano's or Roma's pizza in Lafayette.

There is also one in a Shreveport mall, which should return some luster to its reputation.

I agree. An overgrown Houston bedroom community has so much more luster.

I give you an upvote.

I like the five star home cooked threads too, but most reviews are bashed and the reviewer is bashed worse, so I also am glad to see more like this as well.

I really wish we could review people's home cooked meals.

p.s. I had a can of green beans, a vinegar soaked cucumber and onion salad and pretzels and peanut butter.

actual reviews are great and welcomed but how many restaurants in BR havent been reviewed on here before? not so many. unless its a brand new place, reviews are going to be scarce.

you could have just welcomed the review instead of taking a jab at, for lack of better words, the meat and potatoes of this board, which are the poster's own meals. youve had a hard on with that topic for a few years. i think some posters have embellished their meals on here but i think 95% of the time they are honest about what they are cooking and eating. some people like to eat and drink better things than the average joe. this is a food and drink board. it goes hand in hand.
