Haven't been in a while, but the gumbo and quail entree was good.

I thought they closed?

ETA: My apologies. I confused it with Stella!

Scroll down a bit in this thread for my post on dining there. Planning to go again in April.

I believe the fish dish I had is now on the dinner menu. I forgot to photograph it. It was delicious. I'll probably order it again.

Thinking the death by gumbo for me and she likes turtle soup. Then maybe either oysters or the foi gras. Sounds like the quail is a must try... I may get that and she may get the Lobster gnocci.

eta: Or would death by gumbo with quail, and then the quail trio be too much... decisions

I have a picture of the turtle soup in my post which I linked. We liked the crabmeat beignets with the 4 remoulades. Duck dish was a wee bit on the dry side. Otherwise, everything was delicious.

I thought those were great and would order them again.

Unlike others, I wasn't a big fan of the triptych quail. Presentation is great though.

ETA: Tell your lady there are purse stools. So she'll want to ensure that purse is fresh and clean.

All of our presentations as well as those I saw going to other tables were very well done.

I love the death by gumbo and the enormous paneed veal chop is extremely tasty even if uninmaginative and pricey. Not a huge fan of the short rib.
