Hopefully with Marilynns Place and now Ki Mexico, that area will really start to take off, which would be awesome since it is so close to my house.

In the old madison squre garden? They won't be able to compete with the Johnny's right there.

Surely they'll have their liquor license when it opens... right? So many places in Shreveport screw that part up.

I hope so

MP has a full liquor license so I don't think zoning would be an issue

This is good news. I'm glad they are finally opening a restaurant. Now they can cook on something with a little more surface than their electric griddle.

It looks like they are taking over the Martinez Mexican Restaurant location.

Yay!!! Love the location and love their food!!! The Broadmoor area of Shreveport is really moving forward regarding quality locally-owned restaurants...so glad to see this!

The previous tenants had alcohol, so the zoning should be good to go.

I heard a rumor early on that the former Martinez/Madison Park was the location. I mentioned it to a friend, and he asked one of the guys. He grinned and admitted it.

Two Mexican restaurants (Martinez and El Chico) have recently gone out of business in that area, but their food was quite different. I think Ki may be able to make it there. I will definitely give them some business.

EL Chico closed because the landlord raised the rent at the end of a lease. Martinez closed because it sucked.
