I had a chance to pick up a six pack of Hay Ryed and Heliopolis this weekend and both were great!! One of the owners told me that the Session 18 will be ready to go this weekend. I am not sure who all is carrying this first round, but I got mine at Tony's off of Line AVE. I'm pretty sure brewniverse and Cuban's has them as well.

they need to bottle the pale ale, as it was easily the best beer I have had by them

the rest of their lineup was quite meh

What beers do you consider not "meh"?

all beers, I was trying to figure out what style you like. Was curious if you didn't like their beers because of the styles they have or if you just didn't care for their beers

the majority of the beers they make, I like the style

I actually found Heliopolis to be enjoyable as it had no off putting flavors, I'd drink it over Southern Drawl, but its still a basic lager and I don't really find that style very interesting

their session IPA is...ok.

Hay Ryed has always had this weird metallic finish to me

I can't remember all the other beers I had from them, but I got the tasting flight when they first opened and I definitely remember the pale ale being the best beer they had

I'm not trying to hate and I know you are friends with the owners so you're just trying to hype them a bit

I havent been since they 1st opened, but after looking at my notes - really liked the "Twice Pardoned" & "Yellow Jack." Would definately buy those brews if I could get them.

Im gonna be in Shreveport 2morro, thread made me think about them... Will go by there again if they are open

I like dropping by their tasting room for a beer, but none of the bottled ones excited me too much. I like Heliopolis okay of those three.

Their Captain's Porter and Countess (brown ale) are my favorites in their lineup; I'm more partial to those styles.

I hope they catch on and do well.
