I'm celebrating my girlfriend's birthday tonight and I figured that I would treat her to a nice Italian dinner (it's her favorite).

I just made reservations at Gino's, but after speaking with my dad yesterday I'm not sure that's necessarily the best choice. He said that service quality has taken a slide ever since the kids took over the business.

Is Gino's still a solid choice? Or would the Little Village, Ruffino's, or Monjuni's, be a better option?

I thought about Nino's, but they are closed on Mondays. Also, I ruled out DiGuilio Brothers because she wanted to eat somewhere new.

Fwiw, you should take her to a movie tonite and call Ninos for a seat at the Chefs table when its available next. Tell the GF u procrastinated on her dinner plans

Get Cricket or Graham and you'll be in good hands.

I wish I could, but she has a hectic schedule for finals and I think she wanted to invite a friend from school who is also celebrating a birthday today.

Plus, we have additional dinner plans with her family this Saturday in New Orleans.

Pinettas is a good rec, but I think Ginos will be fine. Call'm and request Politiceauxs suggested waiters. Ginos has some dam good lamb. I may have to go get some soon. Enjoy

I agree with Pinettas. Dark candlelit atmosphere and incredible food.

Gino's or Digulio Bros are my recommendations. Both are fantastic. I haven't noticed a change in service at Gino's, it's always been great service everytime I've been.
