Old friend has an assignment near Lafayette. My family and a few others are going to meet up with him and his wife to eat. They live up north. Recommend me a good family friendly spot in laffy, br, or anywhere in betweeen. Don't want to go to go tourist route at all. Would like something that will be good and memorable for them. Acme in br and not your mammas in Livonia has come to mind.

not your mammas is actually a good call to bring out of towners
the food is tasty (though most of it tastes the same) and it's a cool building out in the middle of nowhere

Huh?

I like Parrains in Baton Rouge. Never had a bad meal.

Ride to D.I's in Basile so they can get the full Cajun experience

Bon Temps Grill in Lafayette is great, and I also like Poor Boy's Riverside Inn

Mais, 2nd DIs in Basile &
Bon Temps in Laffy

Prejeans in Carencro is a touristy Cajun place but the food is good.
