Real Top 10 Restaurants in Baton Rouge (based on volume of customers. You know, the restaurants that are printing the most money.)

Note: This list is based on my experience of driving around Baton Rouge over the years and observing consistently full parking lots, nearly anytime of the day and just about any day of the week. I ignored newer restaurants and fastfood restaurants for this list.

1. Chimes East
2. Twin Peaks
3. Hooters (I guess Siegen is busier than the College Dr./Corporate Location)
4. Olive Garden
5. Parrain's
6. TJ Ribs (Acadian)
7. Outback Steakhouse (Acadian)
8. BJ's Restaurant & Brewhouse
9. PF Changs
10. Walk On's (LSU)

Somebody add something to help me kick Walk On's off the list.

Add/Remove. Tell me what I missed.

Updated List
1. Chimes East
2. Twin Peaks
3. Hooters (I guess Siegen is busier than the College Dr./Corporate Location)
4. Olive Garden
5. Parrain's
6. Ruffino's
7. TJ Ribs (Acadian)
8. Outback Steakhouse (Acadian)
9. BJ's Restaurant & Brewhouse
10. PF Changs

My gosh am I glad that I reread that post!!! I was about to commit Harry Carry thinking that I was agreeing with anything from pawwwwl allen..

Going on strictly volume of fannys in the seats,, frequency of money changing hands , that's probly a pretty decent list.

Ruffino's should be the No. 1 by your criteria.

#1 No. Maybe around #7. Being on the edge of town, I forgot about them.

I was thinking this too. That mall traffic vs LSU crowd traffic, it's a tough call. Red Robin is busy as frick too.

By your criteria Ruffinos is hands down #1. I live close by it and literally every single night of the week there is a jam packed parking lot.

This is a really stupid list by the way.

I missed the qualifier that you meant strictly business.

Do you mean total number of people? Or "per capita"? Because no restaurant in the city has a wait like Sammy's does any night of the week. As many years as I've been passing the place and seeing the hoards outside combined with the clusterfrick parking lot, it never ceases to shock me. Doesn't matter the day.. doesn't matter the time of night.. place is always packed.

The next for me would be DiGiulio's. I've been one time without a wait, and that was last night. And we were given the last open table.

(Again, this post was if we are going by customers relative to the restaurant size/number of tables)

ETA: I don't live near Ruffino's, but I could definitely see this fitting the bill. Seems to be BR's "go to" for nicer meals.

Ruffinos serves dinner only, except on Fridays. I would rank it no higher than #5.

sammys on highland. i live by it and every time i drive by it at night i say damn i wish i owned that place. the owner must just bathe in money at night with the crowds there

Bonefish could maybe be on the list. They always seem to be crowded. They run good drink and daily specials
