Quiet New Orleans Restaurants

My father is hard of hearing and refuses to go get hearing aids. He is generally miserable in loud restaurants at dinner. We took him to La Boca (new location) a couple of weeks ago and we all had to yell the whole time so he could hear.
So I'm looking for some mid to high priced quiet restaurants to have a family meal in New Orleans. The only one's I can think of off the top of my head are August & Gautreau's, which are good options but a little too formal/pricey for a regular meal.
Anyone have any thoughts for quiet options? My parents like to drink so a good bar is a plus.

Apolline I don't find all that loud. Food is mediocre though.
Bistro Daisy is quaint, quiet and draws an older crowd; but it's a little more on the formal/pricey side.

Pelican Club, but it's a bit pricey too

Eat outside at Katie's?
It's quiet and the Barge, add bacon, hold the "spicy mayo" feeds four with well fried seafood.
Edit...sorry didnt read the mid to hugh priced part. They are pretty cheap.

Great question, and one I'm constantly asking. My better half spent 6 yrs in the field artillery; he's far from a senior citizen and his hearing loss can't be remedied by an appliance. There are places we simply can't go and enjoy dinner--pervasive background noise means we can't have a conversation. We both love Domenica, but it's off the list except for ridiculously early dinner or weekend brunch thanks to the noise level. Cochon & Peche are also unbearably loud. Ancora (except for early) gets low marks for being too noisy, too.
Relatively quiet places include Herbsaint, MiLa, Cafe Degas, Brigtsen's, American Sector, August...smaller places like Noodle & Pie and Ciro's are usually fine.
I will also ask for the house soundtrack to be turned down (esp if we're near a speaker) or to be moved to a table not directly in the sound-line of speakers. I've seen staff roll their eyes...when this happens, we have indeed decided to dine elsewhere. Hey, it's a big ol commercial world: if you and your patrons want noise, I'll go someplace else that wants my money.

Cafe Amelie in the Quarter. It's quiet, but also very small.

Wow thanks for all the responses!
Any thoughts on Boucherie or K-Paul's? I've never been to either so not sure on their volume.

Brigtsen's is quiet too
I think Herbsaint is a good suggestion. MiLa. Le Foret. Bayona.

I wouldn't consider either of those as quiet places but I'd say KPauls is not as loud as Boucherie.

It's hard to take your quietest restaurant suggestions seriously with the guitar smashing thing going on.

This is another good suggestions. Especially the updated outdoor seating.
Very nice area to dine.

Nor did I any of the times I've been there.
I found K-Paul's quiet when we ate upstairs, so if you try it, request a table upstairs. Not quiet downstairs.

Italian place on Bourbon. Used to be an Absinthe house. That may describe them all. Not Gallatories. Not knocking it just never been there.
