My brother in law brought some to the Christmas family gathering. Weird color, texture and taste. Neither my wife nor I could finish our small portion. Horrible in every way.

I agree. My experience is completely different from tigerlees. I don't know anyone who does like it. Several of my friends have voiced this same opinion. Anyone who thinks it is good has never eaten boudin from Billy's, Tboys, nunus, best stop, etc. people can argue all day long about who's is best but at the end of the day, they are all good. Guillorys is not the same thing as ANY other boudin that is from south Louisiana.

You may very well like it and you are certainly entitled to your opinion but I won't eat it. It really is a shame though. They have sooooo much great food at guillorys. Their sausages are my favorite (esp pork/pepperjack/jalapeño) and their Tasso is second to none.

What did it smell like?

Feces. As if they used real intestines and one was not cleaned right.

Guillorys is the same as the one about 7 miles from Tboys. So I don't think location being from south La or not is the objection.

It is completely different. But it is completely diff in Pine Prarie too.

You and I never agree on food, and I will tell you I didn't even get my link down. It was absolutely foul. If I was the kind of guy to ask for money back, I would have.

Do they have the cheese stuffed boudin balls? Surely they wont taste like butt.

Quebedeauxs...I like Guillorys, but I didn't want to admit that here. My new favorite is the smoked at Martin Meats. A proud Cenla boudin maker.

True.
But even Quebedeaux's is confused about some of the language

Is that really an accepted spelling?

None of em can hold a candle to the Ville Plattians that are next door.

I'll give both one more try. Honestly, if Quebedeaux's did not smell like poopoo, it would have been very good. Guillory's was inedible.

Guillory's is just like pine prairie boudin. Lumpy bland homogenous boudin. I call it N. Evangeline Boudin.

Gonna have to try Quebedaux's boudin. Not today though. Plate lunch is meatball stew over rice w/baked beans. Ugh.

The stew looked legit, however, who wouldn't cook up a big pot of whitebeans to serve on the side.
