Does the brewing company make any beer to celebrate Mardi Gras, the Saints and LSU?
I love the Amber and my wife loves the Strawberry

Does she like ales as well?

If so, the Covington Strawberry Ale may be something she'd enjoy.

Do y'all get Blackstone Brewery (Nashville) in Tuscaloosa? Their picnic summer ale is much better than Abita's imo.

Does that have to do with it being an ale as opposed to a lager? I once found Abita Strawgator (which may be a bock?) on tap up here somewhere and enjoyed it, but the strawberry lager tastes like barely flavored strawberry water to me.

I bet I could find it at a specialty beer store, or I'd have to go up to Birmingham

As far as their offerings go, I find it drinkable.

Mardi Gras Bock is a fine maibock, one of Abita's best brews.

Pay no heed to those simple young folk who think beer = hops and hops = beer. They tend to be ignorant of classic beer styles, and only know how to judge a beer based on how much it hurts.

not a beer snob here: I find Mardi Gras Bock to be the best abita has to offer and often buy 2-3 packs of it at a time when its in season.

Its my favorite beer.

Beer/food snobs are the worst. Drink/eat what you like. It's that simple.

Agree. I love Beer All kinds all brands. But to say it is terrible is about as dumb as it gets.

Mardi Gras Bock on tap is good. Best, no. But it is good
