Swamp Pop Cafe near French Settlement.
Dempsey's is a great choice.
South of Philly has a really good shrimp po'boy, believe it or not.
T. Wayne's
Nooley's
Most other good places will probably be packed (Philay's, Kevin's, Don's, On the Half Shell, Hilltop, ect).

Didn't know people from out of town actually came for this.

Oh, if you're not looking for fine dining, Marland's pizza (there's one in St. Amant and one I think in Prarieville) and Leader's Fried Chicken (one in St. Amant and one in Gonzales) both have pretty solid seafood dishes. Leader's actually does this crawfish poppers appetizer which is essentially the stuffing from crawfish bisque battered and fried into poppers.

I know this may sound crazy but there's some pretty decent seafood to be had at Seafood Corner on Airline, which is attached to the Exxon Station.

Since when is St. Amant "out of town"?

It's good food with often enough a good band out on the patio. I had a squirrel sauce piquante (or however it's spelled) there that was excellent.

Some other "farther out options":
Latil's Landing for some fine dining at Houma's House
dinner and video poker at Berthelot's Hwy 30 Restaurant at Fred's truck stop.
Ihmel's down by the sunshine bridge
Val's Marina out on the Amite

Of course there is. Some of South Louisiana's best cheap eats are from gas stations, but most of the best ones are only open for lunch time. That Exxon's not bad, though.

It really really is. I went elusively for this back during winter break when I was staying at my parents' house. It's a pretty epic use of like $5. Their fried fish is solid as well and their chicken nuggets are some of the best out there (not sure how they compare to Chik-fil-a, though)

I can't answer this specifically but everything else is good so I can't imagine why the crawfish would be any different.

Tee Waye's is the answer. Bought 10 lbs of crawfish there last night for me and my family. Best crawfish I have had and that includes Tony's, Jimbo's, Sammy's, LA Boilers (crap), etc.

Philay's is not a bad second choice.

Place was slammed last night when we rode by there. I suspect the crawfish hauls the folks in there.
