I fast from 9 pm - 1 pm and eat from 1-9. 18 hour fast and 8 hour feeding window. I feel it keeps my appetite in check and I workout in a fasted state. Without going into all the scientific details (since I'm no expert) but heavy weight training while fasted is extremely beneficial.

This guy, Martin Berkhan, didn't exactly create IF, but he revolutionized it you could say. About a year ago he went a little crazy and quit updating his site, but there is a ton of good info on there. Start where I linked and progress from there. I'd start there. I'm just starting to really focus on the diet and transition my body. Ideally, I'd like to stay sub 10% BF at all times. And following leangains system will make it possible for sure.
