Nobody eats 28 almonds. They are great for you but nuts are one of the most calorie dense foods out there.

10 ten most calorie dense foods

I know a lot about nutrition. I just ignore that knowledge.

Just look at the link already.

An entire one lb bag of baby carrots has less calories than 28 almonds. Which do you think would fill you up more?

He wanted suggestions other than carrots. The fat from almonds is somewhat satiating.

Damnit dude...I was making a point regarding calorie density. Not recommending somebody eat a bag of carrots.

No, you were trying to argue with those who suggested nuts as a low calorie snack. A handful of almonds IS a low calorie snack.

Whatever dude. Anything is "low calorie" if you eat a small enough amount. A twinkie has less calories than that handful of nuts. Is that a low calorie snack? I was very specific about calorie density.

Didn't mean to start a war.

I eat a lot of carrots, and don't like nuts. Just looking for some things that maybe I didn't think of. I'm realizing I'm very picky, and don't like things like celery.

Dang, I didn't realize that. Thanks.

I can assemble a pretty healthy meal; it's the snacking that gets me. I need a bunch of something (like carrots or something) to satisfy myself more often than not.
