First day on 1800 cal diet. Just feels funny. Going from 2800 to 18000 ain't right. I'm used to just snacking and not really worrying.

My husband just told me I am not losing weight because of what I am eating. He says I am burning all the calories doing the ridiculous amount of food prep!

I am a foodie at heart so I like food to taste good which means I am cooking lots of things to grab and go. I also portion everything out at once for easier additions to MFP.

And some would call that a "crazy" diet. That is a perfectly acceptable meal. Looks great!

Got stuck in the 212's for a while, so good to see things moving again. Just finished me a nice cup of bulletproof coffee to kick start my morning. Speaking of...my girlfriend had a Tornado shaker/tumbler whatever the hell you want to call it. I've now used it for a protein shake and bulletproof coffee and this thing is fricking legit.
The instructions (which I read after I did my first protein shake) say to add liquid, turn it on and then add the powder. I added everything first and then turned it on. Took it a little bit to get mixing good but once it did there were no issues and definitely no clumping of the protein.

It looks like this (this is not it, but looks the same)

thanks again LSU777.

I had another PR in the swim and bike legs at a triathlon Sunday, followed by a solid run for me. This is after 11 weeks of low-carb and Intermittent Fasting and a shoulder rebuild in September. I'm sure now that not carrying the extra useless weight helps not only in the races but makes training much more effective.

I agree we need carbs to fuel training and to burn fat, but now realize I've been eating and drinking far, far too many, way more than I'd ever need. Had I not experienced this success myself I would not have believed it to be the case.

trolls gonna troll. They hate you if you're fat, they hate you if you're dieting...they pretty much just hate everyone over there

I'm the first one to admit how difficult it is to get on board the the low-carb train.

I was born mid 80's and I feel like my entire generation was programmed to believe low fat and sat fat free = healthy. My mom, who bought the groceries, also believed this, thus we ate low fat/sat fat free food my entire life.

After being told one thing for 20 years, it's hard to do a complete 180.

Been stuck around 212-213 for a while. Need to get back serious, quit the cheats.

Pretty much. It's also a little scary when people try to tell you that it's bad for your heart and kidneys.

Still need some more veggie options.

Homemade, yep. At restaurants.. They marinate a lot of meat in citrus and the meats csn absorb sugars.
