Keep it between 7-14 grams of dextrose (or another fast absorbing - high GI carb). Start at 7 and then move up.

I highly recommend you read this entire FAQ - tons of good stuff in here Ketogains FAQ

When's your first match again?

Mine was this week! We lost, but it went so much better than I expected. Our opponents have been playing for a few years, so I expected to be crushed. We totally held our own; they weren't significantly better than we were. It made me super excited to keep playing & improving!

I think most of the men's leagues up here start later, too. My BF is in a couple 4.5 leagues, and they don't start til March. It surprised me that we start so much earlier, but we have a shite ton of matches since there are so many teams at my level.

Have you been playing?

I never really thought sodas made me hungry, but I hadn't had a soda in a few days and was wanting a coke zero, so i grabbed one. Still doing IF, so haven't eaten yet this morning. Wasn't hungry.. but after the coke, I'm starving and my stomach is growling with ferocity.

Interesting. Coincidence?

insurance pays for mine. All i did was tell my doctor that diabetes runs on one side of my family and I would like to monitor. Insurance was happy i was being preventative.

Hmmm, I was diagnosed as pre-diabetic in 2013, I wonder if that still counts

Probably not a coincidence, but I'm not sure. I might have a Diet Coke once every 2-3 months. Usually on a Sunday. Other than that I never drink sodas.

For those doing keto how close to the 70/25/5 macro ratios do you stay? I have started back and I am staying closer to 65/30/5. I doubt it matters just curious.

It is honestly all relative on how you feel. I get in a little more protein these days and am closer to 65/30/5. Some people really enjoy lots of fats, and some prefer a little less.

Personally, I would go nuts over excess heavy whipping cream in coffee. Now, I cut the whipping cream so I don't get as much fat and I still feel great. I couldn't accurately tell you my macros because I do not know and don't care. I have the foods I choose from and that's it. I've been bouncing the idea of BG levels on the foods I eat, I think I may just start posting what I eat as well with MFP listings.

My issue is trying to stay under 1800 calories and keeping my protein sufficient.

you only need .8g per kg of lean mass to maintain muscle so keep that in mind. But overall you will have no problem staying in ketosis even if you exchange 10 to 15% of the fat cals for protein.

I feel like I'm at 50/40/10 but haven't really been keeping track and don't plan on it unless I stall on weightloss for a little bit.

I seem to be stuck at my weight for the last week or so. I'm doing a lot of cardio and I'm on a low calorie diet. Any suggestions?

Your weight fluctuates day to day and hour to hour. Don't worry about it.
