While both are dives, I'd say Duvics is one step closer to being an "after work" bar than Zee Zee's... Considering they have wine, a decent beer selection, and martinis.

There are several places in Savannah and Tybee Island like this. Especially on River Street and the beach.

Bob Roth's has been Bob Roth's for like 2 decades? What are you talking about?

Tracy's is a goddammed shame. There is sooooo much I could say about the underlying reason for it, but not on a message board. Jeff isn't a bad guy but Jeez . . .

you have to look at Brisbis as a bar. That's basically what it is. The food is serviceable if you've been drinking. Very nice space

I dated a girl for a bit who her and her sister were bartenders at Zee Zee, so I spent many nights in there. It was full of sad, drunk men, and I'm counting myself in that. It's a shithole, no doubt, but it's a neighborhood bar meant to escape your middle class white male boredom, and it doesn't pretend to be anything else.

In plaquemine there is a really nice old building that is current a place called Guidrys. The food is average at best. Guess you could say the same about The First and Last Chance in D'ville. Cool, historic building but a dump on the inside.

If that place was any nicer you might actually go inside.

Prytania bar on first thought, but it probably doesn't make this list.

It was also Bob Roth's in the 60's, his dad's original bar.

I really don't want to jump on the Brisbi's hate bandwagon, but I have to.

Been twice. Beautiful views. Very below average over-priced food.

While brisbi's might not have the best food, how has no one mentioned the shite that is landrys food in an even more prime location bigger building. It was shitty Joe's Crab Shack before that

I'll throw one in there, every restaurant that has been at State and Magazine in Uptown New Orleans since Hofbrau house closed. I know Reginellis is there now and I hope it makes it.

That is a great location uptown and every single place after hofbrau didn't make it. State Street Cafe, Lucy's, WOW Cafe Wingery, and I'm missing a few others. Always was a head scratcher.

Reginelli's seems to be doing fine in that location. It's a kid-friendly pizza spot with offstreet parking; plus it already had a neighborhood following from the years it spent across the street. It is decent food at a decent price.

Agreed but every place for the past 20 years has nosedived there.
