February 27 is POP: New Orleans meets Nashville. It looks great and I've heard previous chefs brought in created a great dining experience. $100 a head seems a little high....and Nashville is getting a Cochon in a few months. Do y'all think this is worth two tickets admission ($200)?

Chef Ryan Prewitt - Peche
Chef Stephen Stryjewski - Cochon

This is a description I've not seen before.

I bet it would be delicious, but I'm not throwing $200 at that one. You're looking at another $30-50 with drinks. Eh.

That menu is certainly their wheel house, but you can order those dishes anytime.

I come up with about $80-$90 worth of food based on the Peche/Cochon/Herbsaint menus, give or take, so $100 doesn't sound too out of line for an event like that. Doesn't really excite me because I find Cochon's stuff to be way too salty for my preferences. I also had those ruby reds at Peche a couple months ago, and while they were good, they weren't anything spectacular as far as ruby reds are concerned.

Course 4 really doesn't do much for me. I've been to both restaurants in Nola, so I think I may hold out and wait for a new one (or new cuisine I haven't tried). Just looking at the calendar, I see they've got an Indonesian, Chinese, and Russian one coming up. My neighbor went when they had Andy Ricker from the Pok Pok restaurants and said it was incredible Thai cuisine. Tickets were only $75 a piece as well.
