I went there for the first time and got an oyster poyboy and fries to go. The po boy was maybe 6 inches long and not very thick. the bread was soggy and on top of it all w/o a drink it was 13 dollars!!!! WTF?!

You should have checked the price before you ordered.

I saw 9.99. po boy and thought that would be with some fries as the traditional poboy meals do.

Maybe a bit if an exaggeration. The chicken and dumplings are passable. But yeah, much better options downtown.

I went once during a break for a court-ordered AA program I had to attend in downtown Baton Rouge. Standard shrimp po boy I guess. Don't remember having strong feelings either way on it.

Have been 3-4 times. Didnt see anything great about the place but it wasnt bad enough to bash it.
The last time i went (about a year ago) i had a venison sausage poboy (maybe it was venison red beans and rice) that was delicious.

Please tell me you had a beer while you were there ...

That place was never great. I know I'm looking forward to my roast need po boy tonight from Dimartinos! I'm a west bank boy of course.

How do you mean? Example? This board is full of "this, and it's not even close!" when people are talking about something subjective like "what's your favorite mayonnaise?"
Whatever your issue with me, I'm not prone to hyperbole.

It's one of those places that I grew up going to with my dad, it hasn't changed, and I still love it. Best red beans in town.

I have no issue with you. You are my favorite troll. It seems you can always rile the gumps up better than anyone else
