As much as I love Chick Fil A, I can't put them in the same "fried chicken" category as Popeyes.
I can't stand Cane's. The service is top notch, the place is always clean but the chicken itself is just kinda meh. It's hardly even seasoned. (The sauce is good though and I like their lemonade)

Some local places here are a good second. (Ball's)
KFC isn't in the same neighborhood. Not a fan.

I have not had Brothers in many years...I don't remember how much I actually liked their chicken.
I wish Frickin Chicken was still open! It would be in my #2 spot!

Don't east fried chicken anymore for health reasons, but Popeye's, when they first opened was great. Over the years, they have toned down the seasoning for more national tastes, some pieces used to be red from the cayenne.
I used to pick up a bucket of chicken at KFC for 4th July outing, the line at a Veterans Hwy outlet was out of the door. The next year Popeye's happened, the KFC was empty on 4th of July morning.
Popeye's changed the whole ballgame.

4. KFC- who gets original recipe anyway? Extra crispy for sure.

Have to have Wal-Mart on there, at least over here Wal-Mart fried chicken is very good.
