Plano, TX eats

Potato chips.

I like all types of food, just looking for some quality places to eat. I don't need fine dining, but anywhere between good BBQ to a place like Boucherie. Anything you think would be worth checking out. I will have a rental car up there, so a little travel can be done.

And I am down for some good sushi.

Just about every chain restaurant known to man can be found between Plano and N Dallas.

You may not want to eat at Louisiana / New Orleans type places but if yes try The Big Easy on Park near Hwy 75 – muffalettas, po boys, and red beans and rice available at reasonable prices.

Chains - Razoos on the N Dallas Parkway is good. Pappadeaux is a little more expensive with large portions.

Texas BBQ – Randy Whites in Frisco is a favorite of ours with good food and good prices. Spring Creek BBQ kids love the ribs, I love the chicken as well as the ribs. Seconds on the fixins & good warm rolls

Steak – Ruth Chris, Sullivan’s, Del Frisco all off the North Dallas toll way and within a few minutes of Plano

Italian chains - Maggiano and Buco di Peppo

That Korean BBQ taco place looks like a good quick lunch place. Thanks for the recs.

The only reason to eat at cajun places in Dallas is if you live here and have forgotten what good cajun tastes like. Half Shells in Snider Plaza (by SMU) is about the best I've found. Another good place, not cajun though, is Hook Line and Sinker on Mckinney.

The one in Addison is absolutely disgusting. The boiled crawfish was not boiled the right way...no season what so ever. The fried seafood was way too salty. I won't be going be going back.

Yes. Very cool little area with a little bit older crowd....30 and up and family oriented. But there are plenty of youngsters out there. Eno's is a pizza joint with pretty decent pizza and a great beer selection. They have a pub upstairs too. I'll be there tomorrow afternoon. There is some other good eats like Veracruz (interior mexican)and a few other places I can't remember. Down the street is Bolsa which is very good but very crowded.

I got to know Nate when I lived in Carrollton. Turns out he and I lived 6 houses down from each other in Lake Charles back when I was a kid. His broiled stuffed shrimp are the best I've ever eaten and I cannot find any better in Louisiana. Momo's is my fav Italian at Beltway and the Tollway. Glorias at the same location for Mexican.
